Waterway Network

Our 2,000 miles of canals and navigable rivers represent about half of all the inland navigations in Britain. Major waterways for which we are not responsible include the River Thames and Fenland Navigations.

The Association of Inland Navigation Authorities is a good starting point for information about other waterways.

This section includes introductory descriptions of each of our waterways and detailed maps showing towpaths, moorings, boat companies, British Waterways offices, canalside pubs and tourist attractions.

For complete information about news, events, places to eat and drink, dynamic mapping, holidays and things to do on and around this waterway, visit Waterscape.com

As the detailed maps on this site are relatively new you might find errors. We would be very grateful if you would let us know about them.
